Boys' XC Competes at HCC Invite

The boys' cross-country team struggled to a seventh place finish Saturday in the Hoosier Crossroad Conference Championships.The team was led by the runner-up finish of Hari Sathyamurthy. Although it was his first loss of the season, Hari managed to cover the 3.1 mile distance in a personal record time of 15 minutes and 28 seconds, which averages 4 minutes and 59 seconds per mile! He was named "Athlete of the Week" by the Indiana Cross-Country web site. Marcus Fierek was the second Bulldog across the line, followed by Elijah Wagner, Michael Breckler, and Devon Boone in the top five scoring positions. 6 of the 8 varsity runners ran significantly faster than they did in this meet last year on the same course! In the junior varsity invitational, the Bulldogs were led by freshman Charles Voglewede. Notable performances were turned in by Josh Limbil, who bettered his personal record by nearly 30 seconds, and Hayes Morrison, who knocked just over one minute off of his best 5K time!
