Tennis Goes 2-0 on the Weekend

What a great weekend for boys' tennis! The varsity boys' tennis team won both of their HCC matches on Saturday against McCutcheon and Lafayette Harrison with 5-0 scores! In the morning match against McCutcheon, Sam Gentry, Joshua Mitchell, and Nick Wilde made quick work of their opponents in their singles play. In doubles play, Daniel Heinekamp and Michael Hartnagel gave up very few points and did not allow the Mavericks to earn a single game. In the other doubles position, Nathan Mehringer and Jonathon Class also refused to give up any games.

In the afternoon match against Harrison, the singles players of Sam Gentry, Joshua Mitchell, and Nick Wilde performed again in very strong fashion. The doubles duos of Daniel Heinekamp/Michael Hartnagel and Evan Krauss/Josh Ruse really got their games cranked up and picked up the final two points.
