HENDRICKS COUNTY CHAMPS!!!
The Boys Basketball went to Avon Saturday with hopes of repeating as Hendricks County Champions. In their way was a very scrappy Danville team who had upset state ranked Tri-West on Friday evening. The Dogs jumped out to a 21-10 first quarter lead. Darrian Ringo scored 10 of his team high 15 points in the quarter. Second and third quarters were a grind as neither team could notch double figures in points. Both defenses were very solid and the Dogs entered the fourth quarter with a 34-26 lead. The Dogs stepped up their game in the fourth quarter and pulled away for a 51-37 victory. The win provided a county championship and a special opportunity for the team to climb the ladder and cut the nets for a second consecutive year. Along with Ringo's 15 points, Jordache Mavunga and KJ Walton chipped in 11 points each. Mavunga added 15 rebounds, while Ringo had 6 steals.
The Boys and Girls teams host Fishers HS Friday for a big HCC contect. The teams would like to "Pack the House" so get there early as seating will go quickly
