Baseball Celebrates the Seniors

The varsity baseball team got swept by Fishers on Senior Night to end their season.  The Dogs had another bad inning that ultimately cost them the game.  The Bulldogs Triston Polley supplied 4 innings of work before handing the ball over to senior RHP Trent Kabrich.  Kabrich finished out the 5th inning and junior LHP Matt Rollyson threw 2 scoreless innings in the 6th and 7th.  Offensively, the Bulldogs were led by junior C Brooks Bireley (3-4, 3 1Bs); senior CF Tyler Houston (2-4, 2B); junior SS Caleb Sampen (2-4, 1 RBI); and junior RF Ryan Robbins (2-3, 1` RBI).  The Bulldogs endured a tough season of injuries and illness that saw 14 different starting lineups, yet the Dogs were still able to finish 9-9 in the HCC and 15-11 overall.  The Dogs will face off against Martinsville to start the state tournament and a looking to make a nice run to end the year!
