Baseball Downs Giants

The Bulldogs moved to 2-0 on the season with a 10-0 victory over Ben Davis.  Junior LHP Triston Polley collected his first varsity win with a 4 inning, 1 hit, 0 run performance for the Dogs.  Polley struck out five Ben Davis hitters.  Senior RHP Trent Kabrich took over in the top of the fifth inning an quickly retired 3 Ben Davis hitters to complete the shutout.  Offensively, the Bulldogs got on the board quickly with senior OF Tyler Houston scoring in the first after a single down the line.  Houston was able to score again after reaching first on a walk in the third, advancing to third with a stolen base and a past ball, setting up senior DH Cody Gill for a sacrifice fly to short right field.  In the 4^th and the 5^th inning the Dogs were sparked by home runs by senior OF Tyler Westrich (2-Run HR) and junior 3B Jacson McGowan (Solo HR).  Offensively, the Dogs were led by McGowan (1-2), Westrich (1-2), and Houston (1-3)
