Track Competes at Wabash College

The Girls Track team traveled to Wabash College Tuesday evening for their second indoor meet of the season and came away with some impressive performances. Emily Truax placed 1st in the 2 mile run as she battled the competition throughout in a smart race and then made a nice move to pull away with just a few laps remaining. Junior Adrienne Smith picked up her first blue ribbon of the season as she won the Shot Put with a throw of 31' 2". Claire Hathaway placed first in the long jump once again jumping 16' 10". The Distance Medley relay team of Faye Jessup, Angie Neddeau, Gabby Bische, and Anna Boone had the most exciting race of the evening placing 2nd by just a hair, but improved their finishing time by over 30 seconds. Freshman Lizzie Daniels also had a nice finish grabbing 3rd place out of 16 sprinters for her best time of the season so far. Great job to all the girls. The team next travels back to Wabash on Saturday for Conference competition.
