Street, Jones pick up big wins as No.4 Wrestling tops Franklin Central, 38-21

Brownsburg (6-1 dual record) bounced back with a 38-21 road win over Hoosier Crossroads Conference rival Franklin Central Dec. 15. 220-pound Isaiah Street and 285-pound Leighton Jones picked up big decisions over top-ten ranked wrestlers in the dual.

Sixth-ranked Street defeated No.9 Aatevon Jordan in two overtimes. The win was secured with an escape in the second overtime. In the following bout, Sixth-ranked Jones upset No.3 Antone Alexander for his first top-five win of the season.  

The Bulldogs found themselves in a 12-0 hole early in the dual but the wins from Street and Jones quickly got Brownsburg on the board. Franklin Central led for the first ten matches, but the Bulldogs won the final five bouts of the night to come back and win. 138-pound Kysen Montgomery won by fall to put Brownsburg ahead for the first time on the night. 132-pound Brady Ison, Montgomery and 160-pound Nick Cicciarelli each won by fall for Brownsburg in the dual.  

120-pound Logan Miller (6-0), 132-pound Brady Ison (2-0), Montgomery (7-0), 145-pound Blaze Garcia (7-0), Cicciarelli (7-0) and Jones (7-0) each picked up wins to remain undefeated on the young season.
