Golf Competes in Two Invites

On Saturday, the Brownsburg (Purple) golf team traveled to Cascade Golf Course for the Bloomington Invite.  Despite playing against 4 ranked opponents, the 16th-ranked Bulldogs had a solid finish, 4th overall with a 326.  #1 ranked Evansville North came in with a 299, # 3 Columbus North shot a 306,  our host team Bloomington South #20 finished up with a 309 and #14 Floyd Central fell to 5th spot carding a 328.   Twelve other teams finished behind Floyd Central for the tournament.

Individually, Morgan Kier led the way for the girls with her best career score of a 76 for 18 holes.  Maddie Cody had a solid performance with an 80, Macy Stapp played well with an 84, Abby Cody came in with a 86, and Emma Wilkins battled for her 89.

Great job ladies, looking forward to our next varsity adventure at Martinsville!


The Brownsburg "White" girls' golf team had their best outing of the season shooting a 355 and placing 5th in a 19 team field at Battleground golf course this past Saturday. 15th ranked Western High School won the Lafayette Jefferson Invitational shooting a 337. Freshman Hannah Thomas played steady all day and shot a 87. Darcey Brinker's game got stronger as the round progressed carding a 87. Kyleigh Leaf and Chloe Brumley both had their best 18 hole scores of the season shooting 89 and 91. Lillie Gillespie got off to a rough start but never gave up and finished well. Go Bulldogs.
