Center Grove Extravaganza Champs!

On Saturday, the Boys' Varsity Tennis Team came away as champions of the Center Grove Extravaganza.  In round one, the Bulldogs faced Terrre Haute South and claimed a 3-2 win.  Number one singles Petar Petrovic and number two singles Greg Fulling set the tone early and never let up on their way to commanding straight set wins.  Number one doubles Gunnar Reffeitt and Adam Prichard clinched the match for the Purple team.  In the second match, the Bulldogs were matched against another tennis powerhouse, Center Grove.  Once again, the 'Dogs took it at 3-2.  Fulling came off first with a steady performance.  Petrovic battled hard in the first but had an easy second set on his way off the courts.  Number two doubles duo Mason Lovett and Kyle Allen won the deciding point.  Jackson Preo went three sets at the #3 spot and eventually lost in a breaker as did Reffeitt and Prichard at number one doubles. In the final match of the day, the Bulldogs defeated Perry Meridian 3-2.  Both teams of Doubles 'Dogs (Reffeitt-Prichard and Lovett-Allen) completely overwhelmed their opponents with nearly flawless play.  Fulling took the match home with a victory at the 2 spot.  Jackson Preo came up just a bit short, as he went 3 sets again and lost in another breaker.
