Bulldogs Win Trojan Classic

Over the weekend, the varsity boys' soccer team travelled to Center Grove play in the Trojan Classic. In the first game, the Bulldogs squared off against the host, #12 ranked Center Grove. The Trojans scored two goals early to take a 2-0 lead, and a Jacob Risser penalty kick cut the deficit to 2-1 going into half-time. A refocused, relentless second half performance had the Bulldogs find the net three more times on a goal by Max Harris and two by Gavin Waltz to defeat the Trojans 4-2.

In the championship game against Elkhart Memorial, the Bulldogs gave up a goal in the first two minutes to go down 1-0, but goals by Brock Holder, Jacob Risser, and Axel Perez gave the 'Dogs a 3-1 half-time lead. Elkhart netted a goal in the final minute to end the game 3-2. The Bulldogs hoisted the trophy and moved to 3-1 on the season. They return to action Tuesday in their HCC opener at home against defending conference champion HSE.
