Boys' Soccer Competes at Midwest Classic

Over the weekend, the Boys Varsity Soccer Team participated in the North Central Midwest Classic.   The Friday match featured a replay of last year's regional opponent Lawrence North.  A halftime score of 2-0 found the Bulldogs down and looking to redeem themselves in the 2nd half.  Sophomore Kyle Bennington scored an early goal to get the team going.  Although with the pressure and countless attempts on goal they were unable to equalize the score.  Final score Brownsburg 1 Lawrence North 2.

The Saturday morning match the squad faced off against #2 North Central.  Junior Kevin Hendricks gave the Bulldogs an early lead that would hold for most of the match.  Unfortunately, the Panthers scored a late penalty kick and conceded a second goal from a corner kick restart.  Final score Brownsburg 1 North Central 2.

The final match of the weekend was against a very talented Downers Grove South High School from the suburbs of Chicago.  Freshman Delijah N'gbesso scored his fist varsity goal in a disappointing loss.  Final score Brownsburg 1 Downers Grove 5.

The team returns to action Tuesday night against crosstown foe, Fishers High School, as the program celebrates Senior Night at home.
