Bulldogs Win On the Road
After a ten day layoff over Semester break, Brownsburg returned to action Wednesday evening at Columbus East. The Bulldogs started off as cold as the subzero temperatures but still managed a 15-14 first quarter lead. Things began to click a little bit better as Brownsburg took a 5 point lead into halftime. On a night when Columbus East hit almost every shot they attempted, Brownsburg saw the hosts erase a 5 point deficit sending the game to the fourth quarter all tied up. Brownsburg saved it's best effort for winning time to pull out a 63-60 win. While Brownsburg had good balance with six players scoring 5 or more points including senior Ryan Porath's season high 5 points, it was Cameron Alford who scored 15 of his 31 points in the fourth to push the team to victory. Reis Thomas provided some motivation as a team leader and several players made positive plays down the stretch to secure a good road win for the Bulldogs. Pierce Thomas had 5 rebounds while Kyle Wolf chipped in 4 more to lead the team. The team recorded 16 assists and continue to evolve offensively into a consistent productive team. Brownsburg will be back in action Friday at home versus Southport
