Football beats Fort Wayne Dwenger

Football traveled to Bishop Dwenger and defeteated the Saints, 51-7. The first play from scrimmage set the tone for the night as Garrett Sherrell ripped a 80 yd touchdown run.

From that point on the Bulldogs never looked back. Led by Sherrell with 18 carries, 223 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground, the offense combined for 514 total yards.

 

Jake Dunn (10-17, 155 yds) in his first varsity start connected for 2 touchdowns in the air to Tre Brown and Cayden Olinger.

In the 2nd half, Oscar Frye hit Corey Smith in the end zone and Iosua Stephens connected with Avin Robinson for a touchdown.

On defense, the Bulldogs held the Saints to 7 points and 171 total yards. Griffin Simpon had an early interception.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Friday at Roark Stadium for Riley Children's Hospital Night in a regional re-match against the Cathedral Fighting Irish.
