SECTIONAL CHAMPIONS!
The Brownsburg Lady Bulldogs defeated the Mooresville Pioneers in sectional last night 55-46 in overtime. The bulldogs trailed by 3 after the first quarter and by 2 at half time 21-19. The bulldogs came out strong the second half outscoring Mooresville 18-6 in the 3rd quarter. Mooresville fought their way back the 4th quarter to tie the game and send it into overtime. The overtime was all Brownsburg with Naomi hitting the go ahead basket the bulldogs never looked back out scoring the pioneers 12-3 to seal the sectional championship. The bulldogs were led with and outstanding performance by senior Reilly Olmstead with 30 points and 7 rebounds. The lady bulldogs will play Pike on Saturday in the first round of regionals at noon at Decatur Central high school.
