Bulldogs Over Orioles in a Buzzer Beater

The Brownsburg lady bulldogs beat Avon last night in double overtime 67-66.  At half time the bulldogs trailed 30-24 but pulled within one heading into the fourth quarter.  The lady bulldogs were ups 6 points with just under two minutes to go before the orioles made a 6-0 run.  Freshman Haley Nichols converted the unconventional three point play followed up by a 3 pointer by freshman Brook Shelton to tie the game with just under a minute to go.  A last second shot did not fall for the bulldogs sending them into overtime.  In both overtimes senior Reilly Olmstead took over scoring 17 of her game high 36 points during the periods.  Including a last second 3 pointer at the buzzer seal the win.  Tyon McKenzie was also a key contributor in the victory with 11 points 6 rebounds, 5 steals, and 3 blocked shots.  The lady bulldogs will face Westfield Saturday night starting at 7:15.
