Lawrence North tops No.16 Softball, 8-7

Brownsburg battled with non-conference foe Lawrence North May 10 in what was a tight affair from the start. Brownsburg put the tying run at second base in the top of the seventh but couldn't bring a run across. 

The Bulldogs scored a run in the first inning off a two-out single from Kelsey Endress. Lawrence North answered with three runs in the home half of the first.

Trailing 6-2 after after three, Brownsburg loaded the bases and trimmed the deficit to one run in the fourth. RBI from Grace Mendenhall, Addy Neal and Endress drove in runs. 

Brownsburg trailed again 8-5 after five innings but battled within a run. Lexi Gordon's single brought home a runner. Neal snuck home on a passed ball in the next at-bat. 

Neal and Endress split time in the circle against Lawrence North, combining to strikeout 8 batters.
