No.13 Softball shuts out McCutcheon, 13-0

No.13 Brownsburg moved past McCutcheon with a 13-0 win over the Mavericks April 30. The Bulldogs totaled 17 hits on the night to get a road win in six innings. Brownsburg scored all 13 runs over the final five innings of the game. 

The Bulldogs snapped a three-game skid with a big night at the plate. Seven players had multiple hits for Brownsburg in the win. Freshman Hailey Thompson was three-for-three in the game and drove in two runs. Sophomore Addy Neal was a home run away from the cycle and had 2 RBI. 

The Bulldogs scored four runs in the second inning to grab a big early cushion. Kelsey Endress hit a solo home run in the third to make it a 5-0 lead. 

Brownsburg scored five runs in the fourth inning as Grace Mendenhall's double and Neal's triple to right helped make it a 10-0 lead after four.  Endress' third RBI of the night and Neal's double rounded out the scoring for Brownsburg in a three-run fifth inning. 

Endress got the start in the circle and threw four one-hit innings for the Bulldogs. Maddy Edwards closed out the game in the fifth inning.
