No.13 Softball takes Saturday matinee over No.20 Hamilton Southeastern, 13-0

No.13 Brownsburg rolled to a second consecutive win as the Bulldogs defeated No.20 Hamtilton Southeastern 13-0 at home May 1. Olivia Calero and Kaylee Larkin both homered as Brownsburg improved to 11-5 (3-1 in Hoosier Crossroads Conference). Kelsey Endress and Addy Neal combined to throw a five-inning no-hitter against the Royals. 

The Bulldogs posted their largest margin of victory over Hamilton Southeastern since at least 2011. Brownsburg scored their 13 runs on 13 hits against the Royals. 

Endress threw 4.0 innings in the circle, striking out 9 and retiring 13 of 16 batters. Neal took over in the fifth inning to close out the five-inning no-hitter. 

Brownsburg scored six runs in the second to get the offense started. Ashleigh Tranter's bases-clearing double made it a 4-0 lead for Brownsburg. Calero homered to center in the next at-bat to extend the lead. 

Larkin's solo homer was the lone run for Brownsburg in the third inning. The Bulldogs poured six more runs on HSE in the fourth as Endress, Carmen Seibens, Maddy Edwards and Hailey Thompson drove in runs.
