No. 6 Boys' Swimming & Diving defeats No. 24 Franklin Central in return to pool

The No. 6 Brownsburg Boys' Swimming & Diving team returned to the pool from the holiday break on Jan. 5 with a 125-61 victory over No. 24 Franklin Central in a road HCC meet.

The Dogs dominated in their return from their multi-week break, winning every event on the meet. Brownsburg had three different swimmers take home wins in four events. JJ Schmidt was among the first win of the night in the 200 Yard Free Relay along with Jake Johnson, Scott Hasselbrinck and Caleb Peschke (1:43.54). Schmidt would go on to take wins in the 200 Yard IM (2:09.67), 100 Yard Back (55.44) and as part of the final event of the night, the 400 Yard Relay alongside Lee Grimes, Brayden Walters and Kehr (3:30.67). 

Johnson paired his win in the 200 Yard Free Relay with wins in the 100 Yard Free (50.86), 200 Yard Free Relay team with Peschke, Hasselbrinck and Kehr (1:33.00) and 100 Yard Breast (1:03.07). Kehr rounded out the group with four wins with indivudual wins in the 200 Yard Free (1:46.48) and 100 Yard Fly (52.59). 

Other individual wins included Peschke in the 50 Yard Free (22.93) and Grimes in the 500 Yard Free (5:09.72). 

Myles Grant continued his impressive season with a win in the 1-meter dive (269.80). 

Up next: Brownsburg will host the HCC Diving Championships on Jan. 8 and the HCC Swimming Championships on Jan. 9.
