Red Devil's Ruin Home Opener

The varsity football team lost in a shoot out Friday night to Pike 34 to 55.  Offense was the name of the game as both teams went up and down the field and ended the night setting a school record for yards in a game (by both teams) with just over 1, 100 total.  Carson Gill and Toks Akinibade rushed for over 100 yards and a touchdown while Tyler Kirtz found the end zone three times while hauling in 7 passes on the night.  Hunter Johnson had 16 completions for 238 yards and three touchdowns.  Trestin Patterson and Antonio Baker helped lead the defensive effort that resulted in four caused fumbles and recoveries.  The team will travel to Lawrence North this Friday to take on the Wildcats.  Thank you to a great student section and overall crowd for the support.
