Football Marches to a 3-0 Start

The Varsity football team defeated the visiting Hamilton Southeastern Royals last Friday night by a score of 42 to 14.  Behind a strong push from the Bulldog O-line consisting of Ben Slawta, Kent Craig, Greg Lowery, Justin Daun, Evan Mallory and Bryce Tolle the team rushed for nearly 300 yards.  Freshman fullback Toks Akinribade scored three touchdowns and broke the 100 yard barrier for the first time.  Quarterback Ian Good also scored two rushing touchdowns and threw a touchdown pass to Isaiah HightowerBrandon Dowers was perfect on all six extra point attempts and on a pooch kick which helped the home team recover the ball on the kick off.
 
Defensively the team had several strong performances including interceptions from Jeremy Shupperd and Garrett IschConnor Ludwig and Zach Carlson took tackling honors while Colton Voyles and Quintin Stubbs-Lee anchored the D-line.  The team will travel to Westfield on Friday looking for win number four on the season!
