HSE Defeats Bulldogs
The Bulldogs dropped a Friday night DH to the HSE Royals this past weekend losing both games 3-1. The games were both well-played pitching duels with the Royals only scoring in 2 of the 14 innings played. Logan Kabrich and Tyler Bireley both went the distance in their respective games, but unfortunately the Bulldog offense was shut down by two solid pitching performance from the Royals as well. Both games played out in a similar fashion with HSE jumping on the scoreboard in the first inning by stringing together a few hits. After scoring in the first in both games, the Royals were shut down the rest of the time, but the Bulldogs couldn't mount a big enough comeback in either game. There were a few opportunities to break the game open, but the Royals were able to make some big plays defensively to halt the Dogs and keep them off the scoreboard. The Bulldogs will play one more game tonight against Martinsville before taking a few days off to prep for their sectional opener. The Dogs drew Plainfield and will play them on Memorial Day at 1pm at Mooresville.
