Bulldogs Drop Two to Eagles

The Bulldogs dropped a Monday night doubleheader against the Zionsville Eagles in a couple of makeup games that were rescheduled due to last week's weather.  In the first game the Bulldogs jumped out to an early 5-0 lead with big RBI hits from Tyler Bireley, Jordan Jones and Logan Kabrich. Garrett Copley pitched a smooth, scoreless 4 innings before allowing 2 in the 5th and handing the ball over to the bullpen.  Unfortunately, the bullpen couldn't hold the lead and the Dogs dropped the first game 10-6.  In the night cap, the Bulldogs struggled offensively, only recording 2 hits and reaching base 6 times throughout the game.  The Dogs were blanked on the scoreboard and the Eagles were able to put up 5 on the night.  The Bulldogs will take a couple days off before jumping right back into HCC play against Noblesville on Thursday.  The Dogs will celebrate Senior Night on Thursday with the first pitch set for 6pm and senior night activities to start at approximately 5:45p.  Come out and show support for a great group of young student-athletes.
