Bulldogs Drop Series Opener vs. Westfield
The Bulldogs dropped the series opener to the Westfield Shamrocks last night 7-5. In a game that started Wednesday night and was continued on Thursday, the Dogs jumped on the board early scoring 3 runs in the 1st to match the Rocks. Kerrington Cross started the game with a leadoff single, followed by a Garrett Copley infield single and an big ground rule double by Tyler Bireley to score a run and bring 2 more into scoring position. A throwing error on a Luis Escalante grounder scored two more. The Dogs matched the Rocks again in the second scoring Michael Oliger to bring the score to 4-4. But after that, the Dogs bats went cold and the Rocks were able to spray a few runs across to take the score to 7-5. The Bulldogs will travel up to Westfield tonight for a DH and will look to take the series up there.
