Girls Tennis Goes 2-0 On The Weekend

The varsity girls' tennis team had a very productive weekend, as they reeled in two wins at Lafayette Jeff on Saturday morning and at Lafayette Harrison in the afternoon.  The 'Dogs beat the Bronchos with a 4-1 score. Katie Bullock, Victoria Stevens, and Nicole Weisman controlled their singles matches from the onset and never let up.  The doubles team of Emily Doehrman and Natalie Weisman made quick work of their opponents as well.  The number two doubles team of Blake Stayrook and Shelby Hornback battled through three sets but were unable to close it out. 

In the afternoon, the Bulldogs won 3-2 over the Raiders.  Katie Bullock and Victoria Stevens again exhibited very strong play in their singles matches.  Nicole Weisman worked diligently through a three-setter and could not catch a break to get the win.  The doubles team of Emily Doehrman and Natalie Weisman played some great doubles to beat a good Harrison team and came up with the final point.
