Bulldogs Avenge Loss to Zionsville

The varsity baseball team avenged the Monday 7-4 eleven inning loss to fourth ranked Zionsville by defeating the Eagles 7-4 Tuesday at Zionsville.  A strong eighth inning by the Dogs plated five runs that were more than Zionsville could match.  With two outs, Isaac Sampen drew a walk.  Logan Coughlin went in as a pinch runner for Isaac Sampen.   Sam Sampen drove a double to right center field moving Coughlin to third.  Tyler Whetstone pinch ran for Sam Sampen.   Bobby Carr was hit by a pitch to load the bases.  David Oliger walked to force Coughlin to the plate. A pinch hit double by Pat Hobbins with bases loaded plated Tyler Whetstone and Bobby Carr.  Jeremy Jones hit a triple to right center field to plate both David Oliger and Pat Hobins for the fourth and fifth runs.   Levi Slawta was the winning pitcher in relief for Mat Bowman and Jordan Deal.
