Big Game for Bulldogs

Statement game for the Lady Bulldogs as they have been starting to turn heads around the state with their play so far this season.  They came into the match knowing exactly what was at stake in their first HCC match of the year against #6 ranked in the State, Hamilton Southeastern.  The Lady Bulldogs came out with a great deal of energy and focus and got up 1-0 early on a goal by Alison Hieston, her 7th of the season.  Much of the first half was spent fairly even until the last 5 minutes saw HSE start to gain some momentum.  This carried on into the second half where possession and opportunities were mostly controlled by HSE.  A goal 65 minutes into the match by HSE led the Bulldogs to make a decision.  They could roll over and quit or fight their way through the rest of the match to try and get a result out of it.  They did just that and were able to secure a 1-1 tie.  Points of any sort are always important in league play and this game will hopefully serve as a confidence booster throughout the season.  The Varsity girls play Danville on Monday to start a very busy schedule which includes 4 games in a 6 day span.

Notables: Alison Hieston 1 goal, Mackenzie Caron with a strong effort in goal
