Girls' Soccer Season Comes to a Close

The Lady Bulldogs played their sectional match last night, and with a lucky draw, the girls had to battle Avon. The girls came out confident after playing a close, tough match against the Orioles earlier in the season. It was zero to zero about twenty minutes in, and then the ref made a call that changed the game. A PK gave Avon the first half push they needed, we went into half time 2-0. Unfortunately, we just could not keep the ball in Avon's defensive third. We still had a few opportunities to keep the game close, but just not enough gas to keep going. The final score was 5-0. 

Myself, and the coaching staff, are so proud of everything the girls have accomplished this year. They accepted a new style of coaching, new positions, and worked extremely hard. They have made so much progress. Even if the record isn't exactly what we wanted, we couldn't have asked for a better outcome of the season. Congratulations on a great year!
