Lady Dogs Lose to Zionsville

Lady Dogs Lose to Zionsville

The last game of the regular season has already arrived. The Lady Bulldogs battled the Zionsville Eagles last night on their senior night. An early goal, due to some miscommunication, set the tone for the first half. The Bulldogs defended and forced Zionsville to take some shots outside of the box, unfortunately...one of those "lucky" shots landed in the back of the net. Down two to zero starting the second half, the girls were not ready to throw in the towel. The girls battled, showing some physical aggression, and some drive to challenge the Zionsville keeper. Grace Ulmer added a shot, while Kaylie Simpkiss worked hard to get us a few corners. Eventually, a lose ball in the middle resulted in Alex Neuman sending a great ball back into Zionsville's net (Amanda Dotlich may have snuck a little touch on the end, just to be sure it went in the goal). The Bulldogs just could not create enough opportunities, and the game ended with a 4-1 loss. Great work, now on to sectionals!
