Dogs Pull Off Dramatic Comeback to Upset #5 Mooresville

The softball team battled back from a deficit all game to stun the #5 ranked Mooresville Pioneers in a thrilling 6-5 victory on Thursday night.

The Pioneers held the lead throughout the contest, but the Dogs never gave up. In the bottom of the last inning, AG Pogue delivered the heroics with a walk-off home run to secure the improbable win.

Pogue finished the night 2-for-3 at the plate with the game-winning blast. Kensly Larkin also had a strong day at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and driving in two runs. Ashley Sylvia chipped in with a pair of hits, including a key triple, and plated two more runs for the Dogs.

In the circle, Avery Toole came on in relief and shut down the Mooresville offense. Toole struck out five batters in two innings to earn the win for Brownsburg.

This victory is a big one for the Dogs, as they were able to knock off a highly ranked opponent. The win shows the team's resilience and ability to fight until the very end.

Softball will be back in action on Friday, April 19th, as they participate in the Carmel Invite where they will face Tecumseh for their first game.
