Bulldogs Defeat #7 Knights

An offensive charge pumped through the Varsity Bulldogs, helping to secure the win against class 3A's #7 ranked South Dearborn Knights.  Brownsburg collected 12 hits and manufactured 12 runs for their 12-2 victory.  Taylor Mendenhall was red-hot finishing 4-4 with 1 RBI and 3 doubles.  Mackayla Gordon and Kyleigh Anderson each racked up two hits, 1 RBI and a double.  Elissa Brown had 3 RBIs and two hits, one of which was a long-ball over the right center fence.  Ally Carver had a well place line drive to right field that safely earned her a triple; however, an errant throw by South Dearborn pushed her home for a sprinting trip around the bases.  Claire Flick had one RBI and two hits during her 4 attempts.  Flick's final hit produced the game ending run for the Bulldogs.  Brianna Harbin had an RBI double, while Taylor Astell added two singles and one stolen base.  Other notable Bulldog hitters recording one hit each were Anna Carroll and Kayleigh Pate.

Pitcher Elissa Brown recorded the win in the circle, giving up 1 earned run and 5 hits during 6 innings pitched.  With this victory, Brownsburg improves their record to 13-7.  The Bulldogs will host Lawrence North on Monday night at 6:00 PM for Senior Night.
