Brownsburg Boys Cross Country take 6th at the conference meet.

This past Saturday the boys cross country team competed in the toughest conference meet in the state of Indiana.  The guys competed fiercely with a spread of just 33 seconds between the first and fifth runner.  The top 5 averaged 16:32, which is 45 seconds faster than their average last year.  Leading the way for the Bulldogs was senior Christian Hammerly coming in with a personal record time of 16:14, placing him 15th and earning All-Conference recognition.  He was followed closely by Alex Freeman, also running a PR of 16:18.  The Bulldogs also put 6 guys under the 17 minute barrier in the varsity race.  In all, combined with the JV race, 22 Bulldogs ran their personal bests on Saturday.  There have now been a total of 18 runners who have run under 18 minutes for the season.  The Bulldogs will start their tournament series at South Putnam this Saturday when they race in the Sectional Meet.
