Boys Soccer Competes at Midwest Classic

On Friday, the varsity boys competed in the first of three games in the Great Midwest Classic at North Central playing against Lawrence North. In a completely dominating effort, the 'Dogs prevailed 5-0 with Kevin Hendricks scoring twice, and Brock Holder, Jimmy Lawson, Nick Ayres each scoring once. Jake Berry also recorded his third shutout of the season.

On Saturday, the 'Dogs played their final two games in the Great Midwest Classic. The morning match was a well-fought competition against Downers Grove South from Chicago. Despite having more possession and an assault on goal in the last 10 minutes, the boys came short falling 2-1. In the evening game, the team showed grit playing their 3rd game in 24 hours and defeated 5-time state champion Ft. Wayne Canterbury 2-1 with Brandon Crawford notching the game winner. Both JV and varsity are back in action Tuesday as they face conference foe Fishers.
