Softball Beats Plainfield

This past Saturday the Bulldogs defeated the Plainfield Quakers 8-2 in a makeup game at Plainfield. The Bulldogs bats were on fire again adding a total of 13 hits together as a team. Sydney Rodegheir had a homerun with 2 RBIs, 2 runs scored and laid down a sacrifice bunt for the Dogs. Mackenzie Bedrick was 2 for 4 at the plate with 1 run scored. Marah Wood, Maicey Bedrick and Kaylee Larkin were also 2 for 4 for the day. Other Bulldogs who had hits were Maddy Edwards, Rachel Young and Hayley Huff.

                The winning pitcher was freshman, Kelsey Endress. She gave up only 3 hits in 7 innings and struck out 8. The Bulldogs will finish their regular season play with 3 games this week and begin sectionals next Monday at Mooresville. Go Bulldogs!
