Oriole Swimmers Squeak Past Bulldogs, 97-88.

The Bulldog boys' swimming & diving teams dropped a decisions to rival Avon on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs (0-2) built a big lead early but couldn't hold on, falling by a score of 97-88.

Senior Eric Waggoner was a double winner for the boys, finishing first in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly. Waggoner led a 1-2 sweep of the 100 Butterfly with freshman Bradley Green, and teamed with Green, senior Jared Sadtler and junior Joel Paquin to finish first in the 200 Freestyle Relay.

Green was part of the winning 200 Medley Relay, teaming with Sadtler and seniors Mike Fouch and Jared Woodings for the first place finish. Senior Matt Phillips won a close race in the 50 Freestyle.

The team returns to action on Thursday, December 9, hosting the Danville Warriors at 6 p.m. at the Bulldog Aquatic Center.
