Boys' Soccer Tournament Run Comes to an End at Regionals

The varsity boys' soccer team's season ended Saturday night in the regional finals with a 2-1 loss to the Pike Red Devils.

The first half ended tied at zero.  In the second half, after giving up a goal, the Dogs responded well, and scored one of their own, after a shot from Tyler Haag was deflected by the Pike goal keeper in the six-yard box.  Alex Vassilo stepped up and drove the ball into the back of the net.

With less than 6 minutes remaining in the half, the Red Devils capitalized on a deflection of their own for the go ahead goal.

On Sunday, the All-District teams were named for boys' soccer.  Senior George Green was named to the 1st Team All-District.  Senior goalkeeper Braydon Brown and defender Ross Goedde were placed on the 2nd Team All-District.
