Bulldogs Claim Sectional Championship in Penalty Kick Thriller

The varsity boys' soccer team won the program's fourteenth sectional title on Saturday by defeating Covenant Christian. 

The Bulldogs are fourth on the IHSAA all-time sectional championships list. 

The match ended 1-1 after regulation time with JT Hiquet scoring the lone goal for the Bulldogs. 

After Covenant Christian fought back to tie the game late in the 2nd half, the Bulldogs responded by winning the match in penalty kicks. 

George Green, JT Hiquet, Alex Vassilo, and Tyler Haag each found the back of the net during the penalty kicks to secure the win. 

The Dogs head to Zionsville to face off against HCC rival and host Zionsville at 5:00 Wednesday evening in the regional.
