Bulldogs Defeat Grizzly Cubs
The Varsity Football team headed south on Friday night to take on the Franklin Grizzly Cubs and came home with a 34-27 victory. The team fought through several untimely turnovers (4) on the way to an otherwise strong offensive performance. The team produced 456 yards of total offense including a single game school record for rushing by Toks Akinribade. Toks carried the ball 25 times for 351 yards and four touchdowns, while Hunter Johnson connected on 8 of 13 passes for 110 yards. Jose Hacker also had a big night hitting two field goals from 42 and 22 yards and converting all four of the extra point attempts. Isaac McCormick led a tired defense as the Grizzly Cubs held the ball for nearly twice as long as the Bulldogs. Thank you to all the students and fans who made the trip.
