Sectional Champs!

The girls track and field team is your Sectional Champions! The girls scored 151 points to runner-up Zionsville's 132 points. The 4x800 relay of Brooke Dixon, Gabby Bische, and Abby Lynch started the meet off with their first place finish. In the 100 meter run, Senior Joy Sopitan is the Sectional champ as she broke her own school record with a time of 12.54! She also finished 2nd in the 200 with a season best time to advance to the Regional meet. Brooke Dixon is the Sectional champ in the 1600 with her time of 5:08! Gabby Bische had a PR night in the 1600 as she scored in 4th place. Mackenzie Stien will also advance to Regionals in the 100 hurdles with her 3rd place finish and Annifa Kouton scored in the 100 and 300 hurdles with her 5th and 6th place finish! Senior Angie Neddeau had a PR night in the 400 meter run with a time of 60.48 to advance to regionals. In the 800, the Bulldogs took first and second with Abby Lynch as your Sectional Champ with a time of 2:16. In the 3200, Ali Ray will also advance to Regionals with her runner-up finish. Senior Sydni Montgomery ran a personal best race in the 3200 to finish her career as a Bulldog for 7th place. Michaela Barrett will also advance to Regionals in the 300 hurdles as she ran a personal best time of 48.58 for 3rd place. The 4x400 relay of Angie Neddeau, Brooke Dixon, and Abby Lynch will also advance as your Sectional champions with a time of 3:58.16.In the field events, Roni Roberts and Katie Weldy will advance with their 2nd and 3rd place finish in the discus and Kaylee Price will advance in the shot put with her runner-up finish and new personal best throw of 37'3". The girls will travel to Lafayette Jeff for the Regional on Tuesday. Go Bulldogs!
