Girls Softball Defeats Lafayette Jefferson

Tuesday night the varsity softball team got a great 6-3 win against Lafayette Jeff to improve their record in the conference and keep their winning streak alive.  The team was down three in the fourth, but Sarah Callis, Kirsten Bartlett, and Kelsey Case earned their way on and scored thanks to two nice hits by Kayle Comer and Alex Shipley.  The girls got the bats going again in the sixth, and with bases loaded and two outs, Shayne Zoller smacked a double to the right field fence to score three.  The Bulldog offense was aided by the pitching of Kayle Comer with four strikeouts and Rachel Fiscus who shut the Bronchos down in the sixth and seventh.  Tori Martin also played outstanding defense behind the plate, gunning down three base runners for big outs.  Nice team win, girls!
