Boys Swim Competes at State

On Friday the boy's swimming and diving team finished its season at the IHSAA State Championshiops at IUPUI.

The Bulldogs swam tough, but weren't able to get any swims back for Saturday's finals.

The Medley Relay of Jack Kreilein, Frank Schoemer, Kevin Gast and Devon Anderson opened the meet just off their Sectional time and holding their state seed in the process.

Riley Koester swam the 200 and 500 Free events holding his original seeds in both, Kevin Gast swam the 200 IM and 100 Fly holding his seeds as well.  Frank Schoemer was the only swimmer on the night to improve his time, but he dropped from 27th to 28th in the process.

The 400 Free Relay of Frank Schoemer, Kevin Gast, Riley Koester and Braden Jackson finished the night with the only improvement in seeds for the team - moving from the original 31st seed to the 30th place on the night.  

While the Bulldogs graduate three seniors from the state team, they have three returning swimmers for next season and several younger swimmers who were right behind the seniors this year.
