Girls' Tennis Advances to Sectional Championship

The Girls' Varsity Tennis team has put together two impressive rounds of play in the Sectional here at BHS.  On Wednesday, the Bulldogs beat Avon 3-2.  Victories were posted by Ellie Hughes at 3 singles, Caitlin Preda/Payton Haygood at number 1 doubles, and Grace Suiter/Lily House at 2 doubles.  Preda and Haygood were off the courts in record time.  Suiter/House put forth one of their better performances which enabled Hughes to follow up with the final point to clinch the match.  On Thursday, the 'Dogs won 5-0 over Danville.  Kara Mehringer, Hailey Blood, and Ellie Hughes only lost one total game on the singles' courts.  The Doubles Tandems of Preda/Haygood and Suiter/House lost 2 total games. 

 

The girls will be facing Plainfield on Saturday for the Sectional Championship round at 10 a.m.  Please grab your coffee and get to the courts!
