Bulldogs Advance to Semi-State
The Bulldogs competed in the Ben Davis Regional this past Saturday for a chance to run in the Shelbyville Semi-State. Knowing only the top 5 advanced the Bulldogs were locked in a tight team race for the last few advancing spots. When the dust settled the Bulldogs had taken care of business and grabbed the 5th and final spot for advancement, narrowly edging Pike by 7 points. The Bulldogs were just 12 points away from being 3rd. Leading the way for the Bulldogs this week was Christian Hammerly running a PR time of 16:51. He was followed by Michael Breckler in a time of 17:08. Third for the team was freshman Stuart Goedde running a stellar 30 second PR of 17:09. Finishing out the scoring for the Bulldogs was Tyler Nolan (17:22) and Charles Voglewede (17:27). The Bulldogs will next face the toughest semi-state in Indiana this coming Saturday.
