Boys' and Girls' Track Competes at Hoosier State Relays

On Saturday the girl's track team traveled to Indiana Wesleyan University to compete in the Hoosier State Relays. The day saw no medals for the Lady Bulldogs, but the girls competed well and many improved times against the top runners in the state! Sibong Ncube and Rocky Sulcoske represented Brownsburg well in the 55 meter hurdles in a very talented field. Ncube also competed well in the high jump clearing 5' and nearly clearing 5'2"! The Distance Medley team of Sydney Lesko, Tavon McCollum, Rachel Smith, and Laura Bess cut 20 seconds off their seed time to place just out of a medal contention with a time of 13:01! Also on the distance side of things, the 4x800 meter relay team of Lesko, KJ Gaerke, Chloe Dygert, and Bess measured up to the competition finishing in front of cross town rivals Avon and Plainfield!

Congratulations to Jeremy Shupperd, the lone medalist for the boys' Bulldog track team at the Hoosier State Relays this past Saturday at Indiana Wesleyan University. The meet, which included almost all of the best athletes in the state, was the finals for numerous qualifying meets throughout the state of Indiana. Jeremy placed eighth by high jumping 6 feet 2 inches.
