Boys' Soccer falls to No. 14 Avon, 2-0

The Brownsburg Boys' Soccer team fell on the road on Sept. 8 to HCC rival No. 14 Avon, 2-0. The match held an intense atmosphere throughout all 90 minutes and the play was much more competitive than the score may indicate. 

The teams played to a scoreless standstill until the 30th minute when Avon's Rainey Biggerstaff lofted what looked to be a cross over the outstretched arms of Ben Coomer. Later in the second half, Avon capitalized again on a corner kick opportunity to score their second and final goal on the night.

The Bulldogs move to 2-4-2 overall and 1-2 in HCC play on the season. Up next, the Dogs will face Guerin Catholic on Sept. 10 in a non-conference tilt at The Pitch. Kickoff is at 7:30 pm.
