Boys Soccer Competes in Zionsville Classic

The Boy's Varsity Soccer team participated in the Zionsville Classic this past weekend.  The opening match pitted the Bulldogs against fifth ranked (1A) Guerin Catholic.  The team applied pressure for the entire match, forcing Guerin to fill their box with defenders.  The Bulldogs finally got through, and Sophomore Jeff Rhodes scored the lone goal of the game.  Final Score: BHS 1 Guerin 0. 

The afternoon match pitted the squad against last year's state champ and No. 4 Lake Central.  It was a game of two halves, where a rested Lake Central continued create chances for themselves in the first forty minutes of play.  Lake Central's persistence paid off and they found the back of the net.  The second half showcased a barrage of Brownsburg shots and attempts.  Unfortunately, the team was unable to capitalize and recorded their first loss of the season.  Final score: BHS 0 Lake Central 1.
