Dogs Celebrate Seniors with a Win over Fishers

The Bulldogs varsity baseball team came away with a 4-1 victory on Senior Night over conference leading opponent Fishers.  The Bulldogs saw a great performance by senior Jordan Deal on the mound.  He threw a complete game, struckout 8 Fishers' batters and only gave up 1 run on 3 hits for the night.  Defensively, the Dogs were flawless with 0 errors on the evening and a great overall team performance capped by a game-winning grab against the fence by senior John Moore to end the game in the 7th.  The Dogs also had the bats working.  Junior Garrett Isch was 2-2 with a 2B and a run scored.  Senior Tyler Whetstone was 2-3 with a long HR that landed over Odell Street, and David Oliger was 1-3 with a big RBI that helped break open the game.  The Bulldogs finish the regular season 14-10 (9-9 HCC) and will play Avon at Avon in the first round of the sectionals on Thursday.  First pitch set for approximately 7:00pm.
