JV volleyball takes down Cathedral 2-1

The junior varsity volleyball team beat Cathedral 2-1 for their second win in as many days to open the 2019 season. The Bulldogs moved to 2-0 on the year behind 9 kills from Mary Brondyke and 14 digs from Cate Murphy. 

The first two sets were won by narrow margins as each team snuck past the other by a combined 3 points. The Bulldogs made a late push in the first set to win 25-23 while the Irish held off the Bulldogs to win the second set 25-24. Brownsburg would build a hefty advantage in the third set to win 15-7 and knock off the Irish. 

The Bulldogs will take on Center Grove in their next matchup on Aug. 24.
