Girls Track & Field Takes 2nd at Zionsville Invite

The girls track and field team finished runner-up in the Zionsville Invitational on Friday night. The girls had some great performances for the evening. Abby Lynch took first place in the 1600 running her school record time of 4:59! Abby also took first in the 800 with a time of 2:15. Brooke Dixon scored in the 3200 placing fourth with a time of 11:11. Mackenzie Stien and Michaela Barrett placed fourth and fifth in the 100 hurdles. The 4x100 relay of Mackenzie Stien, Emily Britton, Gianna Maihofer, and Lizzy Daniels ran a season best time to score in fourth place. The 4x400 relay of Michaela Barrett, Lizzy Daniels, Jordan Griffin, and Abby Lynch scored in third place. In the field events, Kaylee Price scored in fifth placed for the shot put, Katie Weldy placed in fifth in the discus, and Te'a Nibbs jumped a season best of 16 ft. to score in fourth place for the long jump and also placed fourth in the high jump. The girls travel to Hamilton Southeastern Tuesday night to compete in the HCC Conference meet. Go Bulldogs!
