Bulldogs Run to 2nd Place at HCC Meet

The girls track and field team finished runner-up behind a strong Hamilton Southeastern team Tuesday night in the HCC meet. There were many outstanding performances for the night including the 4x800 team of Gabby Bische, Brooke Dixon, and Abby Lynch with their first place finish. Brooke Dixon finished first in the 1600, and the Bulldogs took first and second in the 800 with Abby Lynch in first place setting a new Conference record with her time of 2:13.94. The girls ended the night with an exciting 4x400 team of Angie Neddeau, Brooke Dixon, and Abby Lynch with their conference record time of 3:54.79! Others scoring for the night include Angie Neddeau and Ally Becky with their 3rd and 4th place in the 400, Michaela Barrett 3rd in 300 hurdles with Annifa Kouton in 8th, Mackenzie Stien and Annifa Kouton placing 4th and 7th in 100 hurdles, Joy Sopitan 6th and 7th in the 100 and 200 and Lizzie Daniels 8th in the 200. In the field events, Mackenzie Barrett placed 3rd in high jump with te'a nibbs in 8th.  Roni Roberts was 5th in shot put and 3rd in discus, Katie Weldy 4th in discus,Kaylee Price 6th in shot put, and Noelle Hiatt set a new personal best of 9 ft in the pole vault in 6th place and Ali Ray in 7th place. The girls will compete in sectionals next Tuesday night. Go Bulldogs!
